Congratulates to Richie Lemos who was recently promoted to Restaurant Chef at Lone Wolf Restaurant! Richie began his pursuit of the culinary arts at the Art Institute in Sacramento. He started with Jackson Rancheria in 2016 when he was hired to be a line cook. Soon after, he advanced through the ranks of Lone Wolf which seemed to come naturally. After 2 years of hard work, long hours and late nights he was promoted to Sous Chef and, another 2 years later, we are proud to announce his new title, Restaurant Chef. As the Restaurant Chef he will train, inspire, and support our cooks but, and most importantly, he will continue to focus on crafting quality cuisine in one of the best restaurants in Amador County.

What began as one woman’s dream of self-sufficiency for the Jackson Rancheria Band of Miwuk Indians has grown into a full-scale casino, hotel and resort with 900 employees and millions of dollars donated back into the local community. The tenacity of Margaret L. Dalton paved the way as the endeavor grew from a bingo hall in 1985 to the successful business it is today. With a history that started with a strong woman, it is no surprise that eight months ago, Crystal Jack was named CEO of the Jackson Rancheria Band of Miwuk Indians.

Crystal Jack knows what it takes to rise through the ranks from an entry level position to her newly appointed role as Chief Executive Officer for the Jackson Rancheria Band of Miwuk Indians and Jackson Rancheria Casino Resort.

Crystal first joined the Jackson Rancheria team in 2006 as a Compensation Analyst and was quickly promoted to Compensation Manager and once more to Human Resources Manager in late 2007. She was named Executive Director of Human Resources in 2010, a leadership role she excelled in for nearly a decade.

“Crystal is a proven leader who has played an instrumental role in Jackson Rancheria’s growth over the last 14 years,” said Adam Dalton, Tribal Chairman of the Jackson Rancheria Band of Miwuk Indians. “We are honored to have Crystal as our CEO and look forward to working closely with her as we drive our business forward and achieve the many goals of our expanding portfolio.”

“Her vision for the Tribe was that it become self-reliant. 19th Annual Giving Season Donations

In conjunction with their Annual Giving Season promotion and the Jackson Rancheria Band of Miwuk Indians, Jackson Rancheria Casino Resort will be donating ^$38,674 to local charities.

The Giving Season promotion is an annual tradition for Jackson Rancheria Casino Resort. Kicking off in mid-November, the promotion runs through the month of December and it encourages Dreamcatcher’s Club^® members to donate their points in order to raise money for local charities and foundations. This year, Dreamcatcher’s Club^® members donated ^$28,674 in points. As with year’s past, the Jackson Rancheria Band of Miwuk Indians matches donations up to ^$10,000, which brought 2019’s total to a record breaking ^$38,674.

All donations collected will benefit: Interfaith Food Bank, Calaveras Food Bank, The Dennis Dalton Foundation, California Tribal TANF Partnership Amador County, and Amador County Meals on Wheels. Representatives from these organizations were in attendance at the Check Presentation Ceremony on Wednesday, January 15, where the Tribal Council: Adam Dalton, Tribal Chairperson, Nick Wilson, Secretary/Treasurer, and Robert F. Dalton, General Council Representative; Crystal Jack, Chief Executive Officer; and Mike Turngren, General Manager presented these charities with checks for ^$7,734.80.

Later it was amended to allow slot machines in five star hotels and card-rooms in offshore vessels subject to prior approval and authorization of the State Government on payment of a specified recurring fee.
The state of Sikkim Made gambling legal after the enactment of The Sikkim Regulation of Gambling (Amendment) 2005 authorises the State government to inform the specified areas where permission can be granted for running of casinos on payment of a specified fee.
In India at present there are 2 Casinos in Sikkim and 10 in Goa, this gives an overview about gambling laws at present in India and this can been seen that there are extensive restrictions on any kind of wagering and gambling activities in India. in India all the gambling legislations have removed the Games of skill from the purview of gaming in India. It is advisable that before someone ventures into any gambling activity in India, he/she may take a sound legal advice in respect of the same so as to avoid any unnecessary legal implications.
